When using the MyTips app, the following personal data is processed:

  • Content Data: Shift data entered by you (date, working hours, tip amounts, notes, assigned jobs) - this data is stored exclusively locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or third parties

2.2 Purposes of Processing

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Provision of app functionality (recording and managing your tips)
  • Processing of in-app purchases (via Apple)

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal bases:

  • Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (Contract Fulfillment): For providing app functions and processing in-app purchases

3. Data Subject Rights (Art. 15-21 GDPR)

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

3.1 Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR)

You have the right to request information about the personal data we process. Since all your data is stored exclusively locally on your device, you have full access to all your data directly in the app at all times.

3.2 Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

You have the right to request immediate rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete personal data. You can edit your data directly in the app at any time.

3.3 Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. In the app, you can delete your locally stored data at any time (Settings > Delete All Data).

3.4 Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data if the statutory requirements are met.

3.5 Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. The app offers an export function (CSV, PDF) for your shift data.

3.6 Right to Object (Art. 21 GDPR)

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you on grounds relating to your particular situation.

3.7 Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The supervisory authority responsible for us is:

4. Storage Duration and Deletion

4.1 General Principles

Your data is stored exclusively locally on your device. We have no access to this data.

4.3 Uninstalling the App

When uninstalling the app, all locally stored data is automatically removed from your device.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

  • Local Data Storage: Your shift data is stored exclusively locally on your device and is not transferred to our servers
  • No Data Transmission: There is no transmission of your content data to us or third parties
  • Encryption: Communication with Apple for in-app purchases is encrypted via TLS/SSL

6. In-App Purchases

The processing of in-app purchases (subscriptions for MyTips Pro) is handled exclusively by Apple (Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA) and their payment systems.

We do not receive payment data from Apple (such as credit card numbers). We only receive information about whether a valid subscription exists.

Legal Basis: Processing is carried out to fulfill a contract pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

7. Local Notifications

The app uses exclusively local notifications (push reminders) to remind you to record your tips. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and do not require data transmission to external servers.

You can disable notifications at any time in the iOS system settings or in the app settings.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy to changed legal situations or changes to the app or data processing. The current version is available in the app under Settings > Privacy Policy.
